Jamie Hynes answered on 16 Mar 2018:

Listening to the patient. Whenever questions crop up in my mind about the problem I have to park them and wait for the patient to finish- most of what we decide about the way to treat comes from what patients tell us- the phrase goes: Be quiet, let the patient tell you the diagnosis.
If we don’t listen to what’s being said, everything else fails- the tests, the treatment, the business, the relationships with patients, the relationships with colleagues: It all starts with listening.
