Jamie Hynes answered on 9 Mar 2018:
Hi again Rita! Things that keep the balance right- I did alot of singing, dancing and partying- just enough to keep me happy, not too much to hit my studies!
I believed I was very lucky to be where I was and owed something to society for giving me this privilege- alot of public money (quarter of a million each student) went into my training and I owe them a career in the NHS.

Oh great question! I was so busy reading , studying, runningnthem medical school plays and musicals as well as being the student rep I didn’t need motivating. University is the best time ever. Work hard but also play really hard!

For me it’s working alongside doctors on my placement and knowing at the end of the course that’s what I hope to be like!

Friends and family!
Uni is about working hard, but enjoying it too. My personal view is that when you enjoy something you are more motivated to do it and do it well! -

Definitely having a good balance between working on my studies and taking time to do the things that I enjoyed! Taking time for yourself isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity; you need to spend time doing what you love to keep healthy and, in my experience, it also makes you more productive!

Research suggests it’s also your fellow students, especially the ones you are friends with or study with, who can keep you going through the hard patches.
